March 2025 Unicorn Lemonade

The theme for Quilt Block Mania 2025 for March is Fancy Drinks. I designed a Unicorn Lemonade. It is the perfect drink for an 8 year old girl. I happen to know one and she would love one of these.

Layered with pastel “lemonade” and topped off with whipped cream and sprinkles of course. It is all served with a hot pink straw. Unicorn overload at it’s finest.

I intentionally left the background more muted so the lemonade would pop off the table. The sprinkles were made with 2 strands of embroidery thread, but you could use anything–buttons, beads, etc. Just be careful not to quilt over them.

The Unicorn Lemonade makes me think of spring with all of the pastel colors. March also brings the opening of our local ice cream shop, Sprinkles. Hmm, maybe I should pitch Unicorn Lemonade for this year.
