Have you ever played the “What If?” game? You know, where you have an idea or even a spark of an idea and decide to go with it and see where it leads you? Well, that’s what I did a few years ago. I was making a lot of quilts at the time and had…
The theme for Quilt Block Mania 2025 for March is Fancy Drinks. I designed a Unicorn Lemonade. It is the perfect drink for an 8 year old girl. I happen to know one and she would love one of these. Layered with pastel “lemonade” and topped off with whipped cream and sprinkles of course. It…
A few years ago I was a part of the Spring Tide Sampler collaboration. I designed a fairly simple block, but it packs a punch. These are all from the Spring Tide Sampler. I absolutely LOVE how they turned out. Well fast forward a bit, and I kept thinking about the block. I didn’t really…
Have you ever wanted to live in a castle? Even for a little while? I have always wondered what life was like within the castle walls. Most were self sufficient , as all the elements of society were housed within the walls. Except the farms and food sources, which the owner of the castle owned…

Yeah right! This is absolutely the last thing I think about as a part of my business. But I am beginning to see the value in it. As a mom of 5 for quite a while, I always put my family first in everything. Then I would help others who needed an extra hand at…
These past two weeks have literally been a blur. On June 28, my quilt guild hung their annual quilt show at The Barn in Mariemont. It was fun, but it had it’s moments. Then on July 4, I was a vendor at our small town’s festival. We talked with a lot of people, got the…
The Patchwork Fidget Quilt is the most basic and common fidget quilt around. It is made up of patches sewn together with embellishments on it. The patches are different colors with a lot of contrast and texture. The embellishments include, but are not limited to, zippers, buttons, trims, and lace. Depending on the fabrics used,…
